February 2007: On January the 20th Olafur Olafsson, the owner of the Samskip shipping company, was celebrating his 50th birthday in Reykjavik. It was a big surprise when the stage was entered by the british pop star Elton John who gave an one hour performance in favor for the top manager. The show was continued by the icelandic artists Björgvin Halldórsson, Bubbi Morthens and Kristjana Stefánsdóttir.
