August 2007: Since years the Genealogical Society of Iceland is collecting documents, registers and obituaries to research the relations and history of all icelandic families. Today they have already 650000 names in their computers and due to the long isolation of the island it seems that all Icelanders are related with each other in some extent. For example a sailor now found a common ancestor of him and Icelands famous singer Björk who lived about 1750.
